Happy Thanksgiving!

What a difference a year makes-this time last year, I was told to "take it easy"over Thanksgiving because of a scary glitch in my pregnancy. And this year, I have the cutest sweetest little guy ever drooling loving all over us! We are both so grateful to God that Corbin is here with us this Thanksgiving! So I'll leave you with a picture of the little man.......... "Giving Thanks", it seems.............. :)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Corbin-our 4 month old big boy!!! :)

Today, Novemeber 4, 2009 is Corbins four month birthday! Oh how I love you sweet son. Here are some of the adorable things you are doing now-a-days. :)

♥You wake up in the mornings super sleepy and take the longest cutest stretches. Your dad and I rush to be the first one to greet you in the morning because its quite possibly the cutest thing we've ever seen! And then you start flashing the sweetest smiles! ♥You sleep anywhere from 6-8 hours at a time through the night! You like your sleep just like your mama! ♥You surprised both of us by not crying at your 4 month appt. for your immunizations! You seriously just sucked on your paci and chilled out. It was crazy-but I was so glad b/c the last two times you've cried like your little ♥ was broke. So this was a happy surprise for your parents and the nurse! ♥You smile all the time and have started giggling/laughing in the last week. We are trying to get it on video tape, but everytime we get the camera out, you stop laughing and stare at the camcorder like its a visitor from outer space. So, we'll keep working on it my love! ♥You do great at church. You either sleep or look around at all the people. ♥You did wonderful at your own baby dedication service on Oct. 24. Mamaw and Papaw came and so did Jenny and Maric. You looked adorable and of course, you mom couldn't get through the dedication part without crying. (not sobbing, just a few tears of joy) I am so proud of you little man and can't wait to see what God has in store for you. I am so blessed and grateful to get to help guide you and watch you grow into the man you will become.

4 month stats: 16lbs 7.oz , 25 inches long, and 17 inch head

Corbin "pre-visit" in the waiting room

Corbin AFTER his shot, with that same handsome smile! This kiddo is awesome! Hard to believe just a little over 2 months ago we were in this very office, both of us crying, trying to figure out what to do for our "colicky" baby! I guess time CAN heal some things!!! :) YAY for smiley babies!!!

Love,

Kristy

The Corbsters' first Halloween!

This weekend was so fun with Corbin. It was, of course, his first halloween. So Dean and I introduced him to "Its the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". He didn't seem too impressed, but we loved watching it again. Then he tranformed into the cutest giraffe you ever did see! You don't believe me, huh? Here are some pics from his first trip to the pumpkin patch-Check it out for yourself! :)

Ch-ch-changes! 3 months in the life of Corby! :)

Changes is the word for things around the Booth household lately. Getting used to Corbin, Corbin getting used to us, this big ol' world and discovering the fact he has hands has been BIG stuff around here. I'm disappointed in myself for not blogging better, but for some reason, as each day went by it seemed like way too big of a task. And then school started back up and wheww......blogging was a thing of the past. :( SO, last night, I turned in a huge paper and hopefully November is going to be the month I get better at this! (it sounds like I'm starting a diet, "i will start eating better on monday!", lol!) But this little guy is way too cute and does way too many adorable things that to not blog, would be a shame.

Quick run down of his adorable milestones, thus far.

6 weeks, colic (or something that made him want to cry all the time) left!! Praise the LORD!!!
6 weeks, first smile and first time to go to church-slept straight thru it-can I get an AMen?!?Also, first trip to the mall-he did great!! And mom had tons of fun too!
8 weeks, first consistent smile and started sleeping anywhere from 5-7 hours at night! And can roll from his belly to his back12 weeks, ability to melt his parents heart by looking into their souls, smiling so big his face could barely contain it and almost giggling!

His 3rd month of life has been sooo much fun. Dean and I argue over who gets to hold him b/c he is so darn cuddly and scrumptious! He is truly the joy of our hearts! We are so blessed to get to be his parents! Thank you God for this amazing gift called Corbin....

Corby's first week-big conversations with daddy!

Then he got sleepy. :)

First trip to out-to the pediatrician

Getting dressed after his 1st checkup!
Thankfully everything went well!

And finally at the end of the week, we called in reinforcements....Mamaw came riding in her shiny red minivan to save us all from sleepiness, crankiness and general overwhelmedness (is that even a word?) What a true life saver she was and continues to be for all of us. I've always known she was the best mom and grandma, but to watch her be grandma to your own child is amazing. She is the best and I'm eternally grateful for her!

Thanks MOM-all the Booths love you soooo much!

Voila!! We got a new camera-Corb's first pics with it!

7 1/2 weeks........i know there is a 6 week gap in pics, but they are on my other camera and not downloaded yet. I 'll fill in the blanks later. :)

He looks like a different baby every day!

Tired lookin' mama and adorable baby boy!

Now papaw is here to join in on the fun! They have came up a lot to give Dean and I a night out! love it!

Mom, Corb and I before church (corbin's second time! still did great-slept right on through it!)

Bath time fun!

Ooh, sad Corbster face!

Don't worry-he recovers well!

I love this smile! He was cracking up with his cousins!

Ok, I'm sure your exhausted too after that major "catchup session"! So hopefully I can stay caught up with the daily adventures of Corbin! Love ya!!

Introducing our new love, Corbin Dean

On July 4, 2009, we had the privilege of meeting our beautiful son, Corbin. He came into the world after two days of an induction by csection. He is worth every minute of all that waiting and our lives will never be the same. Our hearts have quadrupled in size and we are both so in love with this little boy that I tear up just thinking about it. Here are a few pics of that marvelous night!

More baby stuff...... :)

Professional pictures from Joni Streit

My birthday cake from my darling husband

The cake spread at my shower at Courtny's house

Julie, me, Gina, Courtny and Debbie-all the girls (except me)who worked so hard on throwing such a fun and delicious shower for me and our sweet baby.

Here is a much needed update from the Booth household. I don't know why I can't seem to keep this thing updated. And I don't have any great excuses for it. Sorry blogging world, I'm a slacker.
So since we've last convened, we've had maternity pictures taken, two more baby showers (we have been so showered with love, I don't know if we'll ever recover from being so loved!!) and a birthday!
My fabulous friends out did themselves on throwing me an amazing baby shower on my birthday. It was sooo much fun and so many of my dearest friends were able to come on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I always feel like that is a gift in itself, when people give their time to come to a shower. Time is precious and its always overwhelming to me when people willingly give up time on the their day off to come to things like this.
So anyway, I don't have many pictures of it, (they are on my mom's camera)but it was so fun and we got so many amazing presents for the baby. Dean even made an appearance and enjoyed some food and watched some present-opening. (i love him-he's so darn cute)
After the shower, mom and I went shopping, sorta. After one lap around Hobby Lobby, we were both so tired that we came home and took naps. (i know, pathetic-but it had to be done). Then my darling mother took us to Bravo's for dinner! yumm-o!!!
Then last weekend, my extended family came up to our house and celebrated baby booth too! We had fun and the weather held out for us, since most of the festivities were outside. It was so good to see everyone. My cousin's baby Elijah was there and just as cute as he could be! And my cousin's wife Stephanie was there with her two girls and one on the way. It's always fun to commiserate with a a fellow preggo. :)
Anyway, they all showered us with amazing gifts as well. Thank you family peeps!!
So now, I am 2 weeks away from my "official due date" and 1 week away from "my" due date. And I think I am heading into the "miserable" stage. When I tell you my feet and ankles are the size of my thighs-I'm not exagerrating. It looks and feels ridiculous. I am definitely ready to meet this little baby boy! sooner, rather than later please!
I have an o.b. appt. tomorrow-so if anyone is reading this prior to 11:00 a.m on Monday, please prayer for progression! I know it might seem ackward at first to pray for someones' cervical dilation, but please please, do!! I will be eternally grateful!!!
So, that's all for now. Have a great week everyone!!
And Happy Fathers Day to the best Daddy to be that I've ever known! I love you Dean!

Catch-up Time :)

Hello all! I have not blogged in forever and we have alot of catching up to do! 3 baby showers and a fun vacay! :) So buckle up, here we go! On our last day of school, we always (my nursing buds and I) go out for a celebratory lunch. But little did I know we were going to a surprise baby shower at the L.S. Ayres Tea Room! They are soo sneaky! I see these girls every day of the week and they somehow managed to keep it from me!

All my girls at my Tea Room Baby Shower!! :)

Tiffany, aka Martha Stewart, and the fabulous diaper cake she made!

This is me delighted with the cutest baby swing ever! Thanks girls! (just picture in your head, that my eyes are blue, instead of scary red)

Adorable outfits from Sarah!

Precious baby blanket that Rachel's mom made us!

Then, before we left for vacation, Dean painted the nursery!! It looks so adorable and baby-ish! We both are thrilled with the way it turned out. It somehow made everything more real. There is really going to be a baby hanging out in that room in approx. 6 weeks! Crazy!! I am getting so so excited! He rolls around so much in my belly. He's getting to the point that he will stick his elbow or his foot out and I can totally tell what body part it is. Its so amazing! He loves to get all fired up at night. Dean and I just lay in bed and laugh about how hard he kicks. Its funny how with every little kick, I fall more in love with this little guy. I can't imagine how it will be when I get to see his little face!

Actually I took this picture tonight after we scored this floor sample chenillerug at Pottery Barn Kids for a killer deal! But you can see the walls, right?

Balloons from my work shower, new hamper and new sailboat blankie!
Props to Dean for the awesome paint job! love you babe!

Gorgeous quilt I received at my work shower-more details later on in this post. :)

Two weeks ago, we went on a"babymoon"! :) Or in other words, our last road trip before the little bambino gets here. Our first stop was Ashly and Joey's house in North Carolina. She is one of my bestest friends going all the way back to IU Bloomington college days. :) She is precious and has always been there for me even though we live 12 hours apart. If you click on her blog, you can see more pics of the baby shower she threw for us! :) She's so sweet & creative. By shower, I mean her family of 4 our ours of 2! :) We had the best food and the decorations were out of this world.

Look at all this food and gorgeous decorations! She spoiled us to death and we loved every minute of it!

The sweetest and prettiest girl there, Miss Josey, who was kind enough to bring all the presents from the other room to the very pregnant chic!

The cutest couple-Ashly and Joey! We had sooo much fun with these guys!!

The goofiest couple pretending to lick the wash cloth lollipop! It is actually made from a baby spoon and 3 baby washclothes configured to look like a lollipop! I told you she was creative, folks!!

Her completely blinged out chandelier with blue ribbon, pacifiers and pregnant chic cardboard cutouts! How does she think of all this?

Dean and I with the cutest kids in North Carolina- Josey and Ashton!

Then we were off to Hilton Head for a little beach vacay! It was very relaxing and low key, which is exactly what we needed after finishing up this semester and Dean working his butt off at work. The weather wasn't exactly the best, but we still had fun. We also went to Savannah, Georgia and took a tour of the city. It is absolutely gorgeous! You should definitely go there and stay in a little bed and breakfast. It is one of the prettiest cities I've ever seen and sooo much history has taken place there that its unreal. It also is the backdrop for tons of movies. Like the bench that Forrest Gump sits on and tells all his "stories". We drove right past it. Its really a neat neat place. We wish we would've stayed there instead of Hilton Head. But we were really glad we got to see it.

Dean lookin' fine on the beach! :) This of course, was our last day, and the prettiest day outside.

Us and our famous vacation picture of ourselves taken by
ourselves!

Super pregnant chic on the beach! @ 32.5 weeks

One of about 50 little parks inside their city blocks.

Could this town be any quainter?? (is that a word? well, you know what I mean) Its' darling and I want to go back and stay in Savannah next time.

Then, just this week, the girls I work with at the hospital threw me an incredible shower at Sarah's house (one of the R.N's) poolside. It was soo much fun. The cake was in the shape of a rocking horse made by Becky (another R.N.) and everyone brought yummy food to eat. Plus more presents than you can imagine! This baby is completely spoiled already! I felt very overwhelmed and blessed at the end of the night, for sure!

Me trying to display this awesome blanket, but its upside down.

I love the picture on this gift bag!

Sarah, the hostess and me. And yes, apparently this is my "shower outfit" since I've managed to wear it 2/3 times. I was around different people both times though, to my credit! But it does look funny when you put it all on one blog. I do have other clothes, I promise. :)

Heather, Kim, Lori, me and Tracy- ready to dig in to some yummy food! Let the party begin!

Becky and her amazing rocking horse cake creation! It was delicious!
Ok, that was a lot of catching up, hope you all are feeling very well informed now! :) Thanks for hanging in there with me! I am about 34/35 weeks (their is a slight discrepancy with the due date) and so time is just flying by! I can't believe its almost June! EEEK! It's a little scary but we are both so excited and cannot wait to meet this little baby boy! Thank you to everyone for your continued prayers for our baby's health and safety in meeting this great big world! And thank you to all my dear friends who have literally showered us with so many gifts, so much love and happiness! You guys rock! The Booth's love you!!!
